Conditions for participation and criteria for submission

Who
The business concept can be submitted by one person or by a group of persons.

At least one person from the participating team must be enrolled as a student at a Dutch institution of education at HBO (Higher Professional Education) or WO (university) level at the moment of submission.

Entrants must draft the documents themselves. They are permitted to collaborate with partners, sponsors or investors.

What
The concept for your business should address one of the social problems formulated on the website, or should address another social problem that you indicate. It is also possible to submit a business concept that, in its approach, makes a contribution to solving or reducing a social problem.

Several business concepts may be submitted for each theme or for different themes. But they should be submitted separately. The submission should be sent using the form on the website. This form consists of a number of sections, all of which should be filled in. Keep your answers short and concise; the total length of the submission may not be more than four A4 pages. You may attach a (digital) drawing, sketch or diagram as an appendix if it clarifies your answer.

It is possible that the initiative that you have conceived has already been conceived by one or more other parties. In this case the interpretation that you give to it must be innovative. This innovation may be found in the approach, in the means or in the results.

In your plan, a clear decision should be taken as to how you will realise your idea through your own business. You should also clearly describe whether your idea/business falls into the category of profit/commercial or non-profit/ without profit motive.

Submissions may be drafted either in Dutch or English.
